How it works
The Growth tab covers new follows, your growth rate, how many profile visits ended in a follow, and taps on your profile’s link and contact buttons (website, email, call, directions, book now). Charts show new followers, profile views and interactions day by day.
New follows are counted before unfollows, because Instagram does not report an unfollow event. Follower history past Instagram’s roughly 30-day window, and the retention figures built from it, live in Deep Dive under Memory and lab.

Watch the visit-to-follow rate
Open Growth and compare "Profile visit to follow" over time. If visits rise but follows do not, the profile (bio, link, highlights) is the thing to fix, not the content.
Tips to get the most out of it
- A growth spike is worth checking against Deep Dive’s retention figures a few weeks later. A spike that does not stick often points at a giveaway that attracted low-intent followers.
