Do I need an Instagram Business or Creator account?
Yes, for the Instagram tools. Instagram only allows automation, scheduling and insights on Business and Creator accounts, and switching is free in your Instagram settings. Your link-in-bio page, store and brand-deal tools work with any account.
Does knit.bio use the official Instagram API?
Yes. You log in with Meta, knit.bio never asks for your Instagram password, and nothing logs in as you or scrapes your account. Messages follow Instagram’s own rules, including the 24-hour messaging window and one private reply per comment, and automated DMs are paced instead of sent in a burst.
