Deep Dive: Creator money
Follow reach to page visit to order, and see what actually paid.
How it works
The Creator money tab joins Instagram numbers with your page and store. A six-stage funnel runs from people reached, to profile visits, profile link taps, page visits, taps on the page and orders, and names the biggest leak. The stages come from different systems, so it shows a shape, not one person’s path.
Revenue per 1,000 people reached shows which format earns more for the reach it gets. It counts only orders that came through a DM link tied to a post, so it understates what each format earns. Content to cash shows how long after a post its money arrived. The dead weight report lists tappable blocks that earned almost nothing in 90 days. "Which door the money came through" splits revenue between DM links and your page, and audience decay compares how often recent followers tap your links against older ones.
Story completion appears once Instagram has sent insights for your Stories. Instagram only keeps those for 24 hours, so knit.bio saves each frame as it expires and the card fills in as you post Stories.

Tips to get the most out of it
- Whatever sits first on your page does most of the work. If the dead weight report lists a block near the top, move your best earner there.
- Content to cash tells you how long to wait before judging a post. If half the money arrives by day 8, a 48 hour verdict is too early.
