Planning & scheduling posts

A visual grid plus a chronological queue, auto-publish included.

All plans Dashboard · IG Suite · Plan

How it works

The Plan page has two views: Grid, a visual preview of your upcoming (dashed tiles) and already-published posts arranged as your feed will actually look, drag tiles to reorder; and Queue, the same upcoming posts as a chronological list grouped into Needs attention (failed), Scheduled, and Drafts.

Click New post to open the composer. Choose a type: Post (one photo), Reel (one video), or Carousel (2–10 photos). Upload media, write a caption (up to 2,200 characters), and either set a date/time to auto-publish or leave it blank to save as an untimed draft you schedule later.

If your account has enough activity, a "Best times" row of suggestion chips appears (also shown as a banner at the top of the page), pulled from the same audience-activity data as Analytics → Audience → Best time to post. Tap a chip to instantly fill in the next occurrence of that hour.

From the Queue, each row has Edit, Publish now (skip the schedule and post immediately), and Delete. A failed post shows the error inline so you know what to fix before retrying.

Tips to get the most out of it

  • Reordering the Grid only changes how planned posts preview against each other — it doesn’t reorder posts you’ve already published to Instagram.
  • A video Reel that’s still processing on Instagram’s side shows "Publishing…" briefly; it goes live automatically once processing finishes, no action needed.
