First comment & labels
Keep captions clean, and your calendar sorted your way.
How it works
A first comment is posted from your account the moment the post goes live, the usual home for hashtags and links so the caption stays clean. Add it in the composer under the caption; "Move hashtags from the caption" lifts them out in one click. It follows Instagram’s own limits (2,200 characters, 30 hashtags), and an over-limit comment is blocked before you save, because Instagram would refuse it only after the post was already live. Stories have no comment thread, so they cannot carry one.
If Instagram refuses the comment (a missing permission, for example), the post is still live. Its Queue row says the first comment didn’t post, shows the reason, and has a Retry button, and you get a notification.
Labels are your own colour-coded categories: Sponsored, Educational, Launch week. Add up to five to any post or idea, filter the Grid (other posts dim), Queue and Calendar by label, and manage them (rename, recolour, delete) from the label bar. They are private and never shown on Instagram. Deleting a label removes it from everything it was on.

Tips to get the most out of it
- Putting hashtags in the first comment keeps the caption’s first lines, the part most people read, free for the hook.
