Unsubscribes and the rules
Every email has a working unsubscribe link, and it is honoured everywhere you email from.
How it works
Every broadcast email carries a personal unsubscribe link and the one-click header Gmail and Yahoo require of bulk senders. Opening the link changes nothing; pressing the button does — so a mail scanner that pre-fetches every link can never unsubscribe your list by accident.
People who unsubscribe are added to the Unsubscribed list, and that one list is honoured by Broadcast and by the Send Email button on Submissions. You can also add addresses yourself (paste a list from a previous tool) and remove the ones you added.
You cannot remove someone who unsubscribed themselves, bounced, or reported an email as spam. That is their decision, not yours — they can undo it themselves from the link in any of your emails.
Instagram has no unsubscribe button, so broadcast DMs end with “Reply STOP to opt out”. A person who replies STOP gets a confirmation and is excluded from every future broadcast DM. A DM broadcast never reaches anyone outside Instagram’s 24-hour window.
Erasing a contact (Submissions → Instagram → delete) also removes their address and Instagram id from every broadcast report. Their place on the Unsubscribed list is deliberately kept, so “never email me again” survives an erase.
Set it up
- 1
See who has unsubscribed
Open Broadcast → Unsubscribed. Each entry shows why they are there and when.
Open Unsubscribed - 2
Import an old list
Click Add emails and paste the unsubscribes from a tool you used before, so nobody who already opted out is emailed again.
Tips to get the most out of it
- Import your old unsubscribes before your first broadcast — emailing someone who already opted out somewhere else is the fastest way to get marked as spam.
